A briefing about what is the Bauhaus movement.

TOPIC:  The influencet of the Bauhaus in the history of industrial design.

             In this blog I am going to explain and elaborate more about the Bauhaus movement and its role in the history of industrial design. For a good understanding of the topic i will go step by step until the elaboration of the case study. First and foremost, let us know what the Bauhaus movement is, and its impacts in the history of industrial design. giving a small introduction to know what is

- The Bauhaus movement:

     Walter Gropius is a German architect who established the Bauhaus in the early 20th century, precisely in 1919-1923 as a school of art. Despite having an architect as its creator, the term's original meaning in German was "school of building,". Bauhaus was founded on the principle that art will be produced utilizing all the arts, including building. As a result, Bauhaus has had a significant impact on a wide variety of creative professions, including typography, industrial design, graphic design, interior design, architecture, and the arts. 

 - the iconic designs:

      The Bauhaus movement gave rise to many famous designs, but chairs are frequently among the most well-known. The Wassily Chair, created by Marcel Breuer in 1925, is arguably the most iconic chair design associated with the Bauhaus movement. This chair beautifully exemplifies the simple forms and creative material usage that Bauhaus so gracefully offered to the world. A steel-framed, leather-seated chair with a basic design that was based on a bicycle frame was invented. It was comfortable, portable, and simple to make. It is a design that fundamentally altered the shape of contemporary furniture in ways that unquestionably persist today.
